Oceanside Museum of Art Prayer Flag Project
Today is the deadline to have your flag delivered to the Oceanside Museum of Art in order to have your Prayer Flag on display in conjunction with the OMA Quilt National Exhibition. I was very excited to be a part of this project and this is the Prayer Flag I created to be sending out Prayers for "Peace" for the sake of all children. Where the children of today and tomorrow can grown up in a world where "Peace" resides forevermore. This Flag is all hand and machine sewn representing many hours of love. Linking this post to sweet Beverly of How Sweet The Sound for her Saturday blog hop. Have a wonderful and peaceful weekend what ever you do and where ever you are.

Prayer Flags and Blessings
Hi blogger friends! Remember last week when I shared that wonderful package of goodies that I received in the mail from Sandy from Quill Cottage? This is a little something that I created this week with a portion of the treasures from that package. You know the saying, "someone's trash is someone else's treasure" so true. This Prayer Flag was created for a group I belong to over at The Trodden Path, hosted by Constance Taylor. A wonderful place for learning, creating and expanding your Art. I normally would share this on my other blog but shared here as I posted the gift I received on this blog. This flag will be part of an exchange over in our group at the Trodden Path. The nest by the way is needle felted and was really fun to do, the streamers are sari silk and crinkled seam binding with bird and butterfly charms added. Wishing you a great weekend and have fun creating something new! Today I'm linking up to Honey for Potpourri Friday and Feathered Nest Friday

The Gift of Friendship and Blessing
Happy creative weekend to all of you. The weather is starting to cool off here slightly so my energy is returning and now I'm back to blogging on a regular basis. While I was taking blogging break I did keep up with some of my "favorite blogs". I had left a comment on a blog awhile back and found more than a treasured friend in the journey. Sandy Babb of Quill Cottage sent me the most wonderful package of her creative yummy goodies from her reject pile. My comment was on one of Sandy's post Mess to Progress where she was referring to "experiments gone awry" that "mound up to a pretty good reject pile". I wrote on the comment form that I would love playing in her pile of rejects and didn't think any more about it, until..... Sandy sent me an email thanking me for my comment, Sandy you are so very good about reading and getting back to people on comments. I need to do more of that:) anyhoo Sandy asked for my address and said that she wanted to mail me a package. A few weeks later well.............Wa-la you can see for yourself and I don't even had it all spread out. Bunches of "Good Stuff" Sandy.... Thank you sooo-much and you know I will have a ball with these goodies. I see a Journal in this pile, perhaps a Prayer Flag or two and a "journey into a bunch of creative fun" Now aren't blogger friends the "Best" and what a Blessing Sandy is in this blogging world. I'm also linking up today so you all can visit a bunch of Pink fun over at How Sweet the Sound with Beverly, who knows you may add another treasured friend to your list of blogging blessings. Hugs Sandy, love you!!
