Monday At The Cottage

Today I'm joining  Cottage Craft Room  for the Monday blog hop and I hope you will click on the link a give everyone a visit. The is is a page in my monthly journal and I create about two pages a month to keep up on my commitment for the Journal Journey group I belong to. I love this image and enjoyed creating this page using many techniques. It is a combination of paper, vintage laces , dryer sheets and sandpaper with some waxing techniques.

Fun Posting The Pink, Happy Pink Saturday

Finding some fun in the Pink for this weeks Pink Saturday! This week I have a few pink pretties to share with you all. The first is a double sided tag from a Tag Swap group I participate in over at  Roses On My Table,  I belong to quite a few Swap groups over there that are so much fun and always try to share the "Pinks" with all of you. Flowers For You Cottage Garden Party

Today is The Cottage Garden Party and there sure isn't anything blooming in my Garden at this time of year. I thought you might enjoy a few flowers from my Postcard collection. Happy Valentines Day friends, I thought I would share with you today a little bloggy valentine love. This is a very old photograph that I scanned that was taken by my Dad in the 1930's. Dad worked in the field of journalism  in the newspaper business (editor/journalist/advertisement)  when he was a young man back in "the day". Check out the center as there are 4 hearts cut from bread on a  H'orderves tray and hearts are one of the shapes around the outer circle.  Enjoy the Free graphic, feel free to copy and save to your computer. 

Whats Cookin In The Cottage Kitchen

Havin' a little fun this Monday digging through old cookbooks and kitchy stuff and came across this Pillsbury Bake-Off Recipe book from 1964! Check out the price on the upper right hand corner. Where can you get much for 35 cents nowadays! The second pic is the back of the cover and this book is in great condition. My favorite I saved for last and it is the inside of the front cover. Happy Valentines Day and Happy Pink Saturday! Today I'm sharing a little bit of "love" with some Tin Art. This is an altered tin that once held Altoids  and was so much fun to create. Created for a swap and the theme is "vintage valentine" so I went with red and gold for a change. I can think of a zillion ways to decorate theses tins and that is part of the fun. We are only limited by our imagination or lack of,  but once you get going there is no stopping, lol. I just recently, actually this morning announced 300 Follower Giveaway and well........ one got away, must have fled in this Pink caddy so once a new one arrives we will continue, I'll keep ya'll posted! :) Might have something to do with all this new stuff Google is doing in taking over blogger, ya think??

I can't believe I finally reached 300 Followers!
