Heartbreaking Days Ahead
Today is a heartbreaking day for the town of Newtown, Connecticut and for all of us as we are touched by this senseless tragedy. Prayers for all of the families as they try and make sense of all of this and begin healing. As a Mother and Grandmother my thoughts go out to all of them prayerfully. xoxo

The Angels Said "No Music In Blogland"?
Did anyone else notice that all the music has disappeared in Blogland? It seems that the Grinch may have stopped by and run off with our Tunes. Missing the music so I'll share a few Tags I recently created for my swap group over at Roses. If you find our music give me a heads up and I'll love ya foreva!!

A Sad Day For Us
Today I had to let go of my 11 1/2 year old Yorkie, Ruby who had been in our family since she was 8 weeks old. She will be missed by her sister Roxy and furry friend Nicki. She was the feistiest of the bunch and so loved for her sweet little spirit and adventuresome nature. Our devoted furry friends love us unconditionally, we were blessed, so this Thanksgiving give yours and treat and some extra love.

The Turkeys Went On Strike Have Squash Instead
Hi there my blogging friends, don't panic there will still be plenty of turkeys for Thanksgiving, just not these Turkeys. Remember childhood and those school plays that most schools put on and most of us were in, well my oldest Grandson was in a school program for Thanksgiving this week and it was just "too cute" for words. On the other hand he was not a turkey but a Squash and I made all the squash costumes. Now they were not actually a work of art but were necessary for the part. The top part of the squash made the whole costume as you can see. My sweetie is the one missing his tooth:) Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and today I'm linking up to Beverly of How Sweet The Sound to celebrate. Sending squishy, squashy love your way... xoxo What are you Thankful for, me all my children and grandchildren, especially the squash:)

Pinktober and The Pink Scarf Project
I recently found a wonderful project through another blogger friend, Suzy and I went over to visit the recommended blog. Well as it turned out the very worthwhile endeavor is hosted by Vicki on one of the blogs I was already following and somehow I missed the post on the subject, The Pink Scarf Project. I hope you all will go over and visit Vicki and join in a Year long Celebration of Women from October 2012 through October 2013. This weekend I'm linking up with Beverly from How Sweet The Sound to spread the word. Will I be joining in The Pink Scarf Project? You bet I wouldn't miss it for the world! On behalf of Vicki and all the others I invite you to join us in this worthwhile project. Have a wonderful weekend and a Safe and Sound Halloween:)

Look Who is Coming to Dinner
Hi there all my blogging friends. I have been away from my blog way to long getting busy with Fall projects between heat waves here in Sunny CA. I decided to get a little Autumn going here with a Fall center piece that I had picked up at Sam's Club. Perfect for the center of my dining room table. I added a little Halloween and after October 31st I can replace my little bit of spookiness with some more pumpkins.
While doing this my Halloween Fairy I created last year decided to fly in for dinner. Maybe she is waiting for a date with a Prince?
Today I'm linking up with Beverly from How Sweet the Sound for a little blog party fun. Have a great weekend!

Oceanside Museum of Art Prayer Flag Project
Today is the deadline to have your flag delivered to the Oceanside Museum of Art in order to have your Prayer Flag on display in conjunction with the OMA Quilt National Exhibition. I was very excited to be a part of this project and this is the Prayer Flag I created to be sending out Prayers for "Peace" for the sake of all children. Where the children of today and tomorrow can grown up in a world where "Peace" resides forevermore. This Flag is all hand and machine sewn representing many hours of love. Linking this post to sweet Beverly of How Sweet The Sound for her Saturday blog hop. Have a wonderful and peaceful weekend what ever you do and where ever you are.

Prayer Flags and Blessings
Hi blogger friends! Remember last week when I shared that wonderful package of goodies that I received in the mail from Sandy from Quill Cottage? This is a little something that I created this week with a portion of the treasures from that package. You know the saying, "someone's trash is someone else's treasure" so true. This Prayer Flag was created for a group I belong to over at The Trodden Path, hosted by Constance Taylor. A wonderful place for learning, creating and expanding your Art. I normally would share this on my other blog but shared here as I posted the gift I received on this blog. This flag will be part of an exchange over in our group at the Trodden Path. The nest by the way is needle felted and was really fun to do, the streamers are sari silk and crinkled seam binding with bird and butterfly charms added. Wishing you a great weekend and have fun creating something new! Today I'm linking up to Honey for Potpourri Friday and Feathered Nest Friday

The Gift of Friendship and Blessing
Happy creative weekend to all of you. The weather is starting to cool off here slightly so my energy is returning and now I'm back to blogging on a regular basis. While I was taking blogging break I did keep up with some of my "favorite blogs". I had left a comment on a blog awhile back and found more than a treasured friend in the journey. Sandy Babb of Quill Cottage sent me the most wonderful package of her creative yummy goodies from her reject pile. My comment was on one of Sandy's post Mess to Progress where she was referring to "experiments gone awry" that "mound up to a pretty good reject pile". I wrote on the comment form that I would love playing in her pile of rejects and didn't think any more about it, until..... Sandy sent me an email thanking me for my comment, Sandy you are so very good about reading and getting back to people on comments. I need to do more of that:) anyhoo Sandy asked for my address and said that she wanted to mail me a package. A few weeks later well.............Wa-la you can see for yourself and I don't even had it all spread out. Bunches of "Good Stuff" Sandy.... Thank you sooo-much and you know I will have a ball with these goodies. I see a Journal in this pile, perhaps a Prayer Flag or two and a "journey into a bunch of creative fun" Now aren't blogger friends the "Best" and what a Blessing Sandy is in this blogging world. I'm also linking up today so you all can visit a bunch of Pink fun over at How Sweet the Sound with Beverly, who knows you may add another treasured friend to your list of blogging blessings. Hugs Sandy, love you!!

Happy Pink Saturday and Labor Day
Happy Pink Saturday and Happy Labor day to all my Pink and Pretty friends. I'm back after a little blogging break but find the heat came back with me, oh well time to get some Pink on! I have missed all of you in blogland and cyber space. I hope you are all celebrating this long holiday weekend with friends and family, many of you younger gals getting ready for your little ones to start school. What a fun and exciting time that first day of school is. While trying to stay cool I have been picking up a few more skills over at the Artful Gathering which has now ended. Yep, I did find something else I love to do though on a small scale and hope to get a few in my Etsy Shop before the holidays. Not much of anything in there now though. Today I'm joining Beverly of How Sweet The Sound for a visit with all my friends that love playing in "pink". I would like to give my dear friend Rebecca from A Gathering Place a big Hug and Thank You for letting me know that she could not see my blog post or leave comments due to Google +, so that may have happened to others also and I was unaware of it. I tried out the new gadget (google +) as we all know I do like to try out new things even cyber stuff. Well not so good for me as if you aren't in someone's circle you can't get in, how dumb is that. I really liked the old blogger better and therefore after spending a 1/2 hour trying to figure out where the Undo Button was I finally able to get rid of it. I think some like myself my think this is a great networking tool but it wasn't for me! Now I'm good to go and if you have Google + and have trouble with it, well here is my take on it, Undo It!! Have a great weekend and I hope you enjoy my latest creation. Crazy quilted Bridal bag in Pinks with silk ribbon embroidery (this one is taken), I see all the possibilities, don't you??
