Pink Saturday "Thank You's" and Happy Thanksgiving!
With the coming of Thanksgiving and the many people that pass through our lives I'm thankful for my Blogging friends and Artists. There is Art in all of us , all we have to do is find the thing that satisfies that creative outlet. I love to create many things and I'm happiest when doing so, from the simple to elaborate. That being said I'm in full support of all Artist, not with any particular style just for the love of Creating. I recently joined in a Swap that was hosted by the sweetest gal, Sandra for a Quiltie Swap which is a 4 x 6 quilted piece of Art. These are the Quilties I received, the first from the Hostess herself, Sandra Kaye, thank you Sandie! The second one was from a non-blogger Cheryl Preston from New York, thank you Cheryl and last but not least is from Marlynne of MC Creates Daily a new blogger from Missouri and she makes darling creations, like Santas and has some fun collections!
Then I received a very sweet Thank You from a little gal on How Sweet the Sound ( Thank You sweet Beverly for hosting every week) Pink Saturday blog group that was in the need of fabric for a retirement home project, now mind you this little gal is Elizabeth and she is 12 years old, well that right there stole my heart so of course I started digging and sent her box of fabric to help get her started. This is the handmade card and bow that was sent thanking me, now how sweet is that! Aren't bloggers the nicest people. Thank you Elizabeth, I can't wait to see your finished project. Linked for Elizabeth is her mom's blog My Sweet Prairie Home. Blessings and Love sent to all of you for a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving.

KC Willis and Collage Camp!
My DH paternal Grandmother on Christmas Day 1899 |
Wish I knew all the stories of this day, the Christmas Elizabeth received her bicycle. |
My first retreat and I had a ball! Here are some pic's of my first retreat and all the supplies were provided with the class except the photograph which is my DH's paternal Grandmother, you can read all about it over on my Creative blog by clicking on the link Heartful Creations, needless to say I had a great time doing what I love most "Creating". I love the vintage look of this piece and the fact that it is a actual relative from days gone by. Today I'm linking up with Beverly of How Sweet the Sound for the Pink Saturday gals ( I do see some pink here!) , Honey of Honey 2805, Show and Tell Friday of A Romantic Home (a creation for my family room studio) and Debra for Vintage Inspiration Friday as this is definitely Vintage and now back to finishing my Collage book which was the Monday class. I plan on making some of these in a smaller size and in various styles for family holiday gifts so I guess I better get busy! Have a great weekend and thank you all for your blog hops and a fun time!

REDnesday with ME Cherries
Today I'm joining REDnesday with It's A Very Cherry World to show off my ME Cherry Quilties that I sent off in a swap that I was invited to join by Sandra Kaye. I haven't done much quilting in years with the exception of quilts for baby gifts in gift giving and for grandchildren. This was a piece of fabric that I had in my stash left from kitchen curtains I made some years back. They have long been replaced by another vintage style fabric from the 1950's but I love the fabric for a kitchen, so cheerful and full of fun. I have never joined REDnesdays before but thought this was an appropriate share for this blog hop. Anyone who loves swaps and is interested can join Sandra for another for a Christmas theme starting about November 15th. Don't forget to visit all the other fun REDnesday gals to see there vintage red fun!
