You don't actually backup your blog every few days. What if you do it every week? In-between you make sure that you've added your own email address in the Email & Mobile section of Settings. Don't delete those emails but once a week after you've backed up your blog. Yes, an external harddrive works fine; that's where I put mine too. But it is done very quickly and like this it is little effort for preventing a big disaster! Have a great Memorial Day! Mariette
