BIGGEST BIRTHDAY PARTY in BLOGLAND this SATURDAY "PINK SATURDAYS" Third Birthday Party!

Don't forget this Saturday May 28th is the largest Blog Birthday Party in Blogland with Beverly of  How Sweet the Sound  host of  "Pink Saturday's." This will be Pink Birthday Celebration with lots of fun and many Giveaways. I will be having a Giveaway starting Saturday as well so don't forget to stop by the Party! Cottage Colors Party for May "Yellow" and Tea Cup Tuesday at Martha's Favorites

Today is The Cottage Colors Party  and the color for the month of May is Yellow.  I'm sharing a beautiful Teacup and saucer that is part of the Lena Liu's Glorious Chintz collection and the name of this one is "Enchantment". There were more in the set than I collected but I have about 6 or so of them. This whole collection was just wonderful and Chintz is my favorite in china. I included my favorite roses which are silk and sit in front of a window in my family room. I will have to photograph the complete vase one of these days so you can get the full impact of these beauties. I hope you are all having a wonderful week and had a relaxing weekend. HAPPY PINK SATURDAY EVERYONE!

Happy Pink Saturday all of you Sparkly Pink Peeps! Are you gettin' your Pink on? Our Dear Beverly of How Sweet the Sound  is having a Big Birthday Bash next Saturday to Celebrate her "3rd Pink Saturday Birthday". Whoo-hoo!!! Start gettin' ready to Parteeee.. and go wish her a Happy Birthday for hosting this Blog Hop every Saturday! This is my Pinkalicious (is that a word?) share for today. Yep... I keep on digging out in the paper craft area and this book is from one of my crop party weekends and was offered in a kit that I put together, I thought it would be good for one of my Grandgirls for a gift and since the older two have grown up so fast I guess the youngest one will be getting it for her Birthday next year or  as I wanted to wait until she was old enough to enjoy it. She will be 6 years old next year and I think 6 or 7 years old is about right. I have to get Tobi of the Pink Pixie Forest to create a matching Pixie Cupcake for her to match. This is all done in Hot Pink, Lime Green and Brown. It is a Pic' and Tag book with tags that are designated as gifts to the recipient (read a story, go to a move, get a cupcake, go to lunch, ect.)  I think she will love it! Feel free to copy the idea and make your own. It is really a fun book!   Go visit Tobi and send her Pink Sparkles as she has been away a bit from blogging and let her know we all missed her and glad she is back. She and the Pixies will be soo-happy to have a visit and Tobi is having a Giveaway too as is Beverly. Both links are listed, enjoy and have a wonderful Pink day!

Moments in Time

I shot this pic at a family get together in 2009  before my Daughter-in-law could hide from her Mother-in-law (me) when I was in a camera photo shooting frenzy. She is very camera shy and it is hard to catch her a just the right moment and I love this shot. The reason for this post is to  "Congratulate" her on just recently being notified that she will be receiving the "Educator of the Year Award" for the School District that she teaches in. Congratulation's to you Renee, I'm very proud of you and I'm sure your family is very proud of you too. Hats off to you and all the hardworking great teachers that strive to give our children and Grandchildren a great education to help make this world a better place!  You are a great role model, Daughter, Mother, Wife and Daughter-in-law. I'm sure your Mom would be very proud and I'm sure she is smiling down on you today!   Hugs, Smiles and Sparkly Sunshine days sent your way.

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY PEEPS!

Happy Pink Saturday all of you Pink Peeps and more. I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day and a great week. I thought I would share with you some fun Pinks that I created quite awhile ago. This is an acrylic scrapbook that is created with rub ons, inks, papers and ribbons. It was a challenge workshop a few years back when crops and scrapbook stores were everywhere, now in my area they are all out of business. I have plenty of supplies from those years and and enjoyed the time put in and the friendships made along the way. It was my Friday night thing to do for about 3 or 4 years. This was one of the projects created during that time. I still have to print some black and white pic's of the Grandkids and put in it. This is on my To Do List with many others. Don't forget to go by and visit all the Pink party participants at Beverly's How Sweet the Sound, have a great weekend!

Flowers for You from Rogers Gardens

I hope theses beautiful flowers brighten your week. They were taken last week at Rogers Gardens in Newport and while keeping up with a 5 and six year old, I managed to snap a few shots of the lovely displays, my very favorite is the crown that is filled with Violets.  Fit for a Queen for sure and two sold while I was there is a very short time. A mere 69.95 for the crown, a little out of my price range but I would loved to have had it, aren't they all lovely? I hope your Mothers Day weekend was wonderful and that all you Moms were treated like royalty. Have a great rest of the week!

Happy Cinco de Mayo

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! I found this in a box of old family photos that I have been sorting through and thought it was the perfect pic in my stash for today! This is a photo of my older sister when she was 5 years old. I know she has a copy too so I can have fun with this one. My Dad always dabbled in photography and he took this one along with many more. I just love old photos and I'm blessed to have so many of my own. This was taken in the late 1930's.
