This is a 3 foot Santa tree by my front door that is decorated in just Santa's and Father Christmas's, and I have been I collecting for along time. A short post since I have been sick and still am but trying to stay distracted so here I am off my couch for a few minutes to do a post as this is about all I'm up for at this point. I have added my Kitchen tree with all my Vintage Christmas cookie cutters even though it is on a previous post. So here is wishing you all the Joys of Christmas and the best for a very Happy Holiday.

Merry Christmas "REDnesday"
Merry Rednesday for all the folks that love the color Red and especially during Christmas. This is the corner of my bar that separates the kitchen from the living/dining room area. My Santa the "Chef"with his busy elves and the Nutcracker chef apprentice that wants to help. The tree is decorated with vintage red plastic cookie cutters from the 1940's and 50's and candy canes, now what I would like to eventually do is add a small collection of Gingerbread men to mix in as I don't have many on the other side of the tree and that way I could spread them out. Today I'm joining Sue over at It's A Very Cherry World for a bit of festive Red and Free Pretty Things For You. Hope this tickles your festive spirit, don't forget to visit all the other bloggers with more fun to share.

"It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas"
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around my house! Many things I have had for years and some I added as the years went by, including ornaments Santa's and such. I decorate in traditional colors, warm earth tones, rich reds, greens and what ever strikes my fancy. The first pic is my mantle and the second is the mantle and hearth as you can see. Some of the older stockings are "Mia" so they are somewhere, buried I'm sure in the garage that always needs to be re-arranged! This week I'm joining some of the Holiday Blog Parties and today is "Show Your Mantle" over with Pamela at From My Front Porch To Yours ! Thanks Pamela for being such a lovely host, don't forget to visit all the other party participants and have fun taking a peek at all the wonderful decorations!

Tutu Cute Pinks for Pink Saturday!
Happy Pink Saturday with my Tutu Cuties! I just just returned from the groomer with new haircuts on the girls and they found they had a new bed! Yep, Santa came early to my little girls Roxy and Ruby with a very colorful bed. They were feeling very sleepy I'm afraid so the the photo shoot was a quick one as I didn't want to put them through too much. I found Pink Doggie Tutu's in the $ 1 isle of Target and in Pink, I just couldn't resist! Myself "The Elf" has been busy this week decorating for the holidays a bit at a time as not to overdue it (bad shoulder) and I wanted to share some "Pink" for a change that was fun. Later this week, I'll share a few photos of the decorations. I have plenty and it was fun to get started. Don't forget to visit all the other gals showing off their pink with Beverly at How Sweet the Sound and have fun preparing for the Holidays! Don't forget the "Reason for the Season" as my next post will be my Nativity, I have had it since I was 20 years old and the first decoration to go up! Until then, Enjoy...

Pink Saturday "Thank You's" and Happy Thanksgiving!
With the coming of Thanksgiving and the many people that pass through our lives I'm thankful for my Blogging friends and Artists. There is Art in all of us , all we have to do is find the thing that satisfies that creative outlet. I love to create many things and I'm happiest when doing so, from the simple to elaborate. That being said I'm in full support of all Artist, not with any particular style just for the love of Creating. I recently joined in a Swap that was hosted by the sweetest gal, Sandra for a Quiltie Swap which is a 4 x 6 quilted piece of Art. These are the Quilties I received, the first from the Hostess herself, Sandra Kaye, thank you Sandie! The second one was from a non-blogger Cheryl Preston from New York, thank you Cheryl and last but not least is from Marlynne of MC Creates Daily a new blogger from Missouri and she makes darling creations, like Santas and has some fun collections!
Then I received a very sweet Thank You from a little gal on How Sweet the Sound ( Thank You sweet Beverly for hosting every week) Pink Saturday blog group that was in the need of fabric for a retirement home project, now mind you this little gal is Elizabeth and she is 12 years old, well that right there stole my heart so of course I started digging and sent her box of fabric to help get her started. This is the handmade card and bow that was sent thanking me, now how sweet is that! Aren't bloggers the nicest people. Thank you Elizabeth, I can't wait to see your finished project. Linked for Elizabeth is her mom's blog My Sweet Prairie Home. Blessings and Love sent to all of you for a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving.

KC Willis and Collage Camp!
My DH paternal Grandmother on Christmas Day 1899 |
Wish I knew all the stories of this day, the Christmas Elizabeth received her bicycle. |
My first retreat and I had a ball! Here are some pic's of my first retreat and all the supplies were provided with the class except the photograph which is my DH's paternal Grandmother, you can read all about it over on my Creative blog by clicking on the link Heartful Creations, needless to say I had a great time doing what I love most "Creating". I love the vintage look of this piece and the fact that it is a actual relative from days gone by. Today I'm linking up with Beverly of How Sweet the Sound for the Pink Saturday gals ( I do see some pink here!) , Honey of Honey 2805, Show and Tell Friday of A Romantic Home (a creation for my family room studio) and Debra for Vintage Inspiration Friday as this is definitely Vintage and now back to finishing my Collage book which was the Monday class. I plan on making some of these in a smaller size and in various styles for family holiday gifts so I guess I better get busy! Have a great weekend and thank you all for your blog hops and a fun time!

REDnesday with ME Cherries
Today I'm joining REDnesday with It's A Very Cherry World to show off my ME Cherry Quilties that I sent off in a swap that I was invited to join by Sandra Kaye. I haven't done much quilting in years with the exception of quilts for baby gifts in gift giving and for grandchildren. This was a piece of fabric that I had in my stash left from kitchen curtains I made some years back. They have long been replaced by another vintage style fabric from the 1950's but I love the fabric for a kitchen, so cheerful and full of fun. I have never joined REDnesdays before but thought this was an appropriate share for this blog hop. Anyone who loves swaps and is interested can join Sandra for another for a Christmas theme starting about November 15th. Don't forget to visit all the other fun REDnesday gals to see there vintage red fun!

Happy Halloween and Pink Saturday (not pink) from all of us Pumpkins, Super Heroes and the Big Spidey too! Here are the Halloween Party Highlights from last weekends Halloween event, Yes... I can't believe that gigantic Spidey was above us in that pic as I'm a non spider kinda gal. My daughter the (mother of those 3 good reasons to post a late blog) had a Halloween Party for her children, their friends, parents and a few neighbors. The grand kids wanted me to attend and dress up too, so here I am in my Grandma Good Witch Gypsy attire with lots of jewelry, Good Witch T-shirt and gypsy skirt. I went knowing I looked ridiculous and they had fun. Everyone thought I looks liked the gal from Steel Magnolias. TTMF! Today I'm linking up with Beverly from How Sweet the Sound for their Showing of anything goes Halloween.
