PEARLS and LACE THURSDAY PARTY "PIECES OF THE PAST"

I'm joining Doni  today of Faith, Grace and Crafts for the last PEARLS and LACE THURSDAY PARTY ,  don't forget to visit the other party participants and thank Doni for hosting a lovely blog party!  I have today an antique green velvet jewelry box that was given to me by the dear lady across the street and she is over 85 years old. It was her Mothers so I would say for sure it is over 110 years old. The raised flowers are plush velvet and the rest is very short velvet. It still has its key and a tassel which I think makes it really rare. It is one of my favorite treasures as I know both the ladies that lovingly cared for it. I have it pictured with an old silver mirror I have had forever, some pearls and a pearl picture fame. Next to it is an old storybook doll along with a jar of pearls I use for projects, many very old and not strung anymore.

Hi Marilou! What wonderful treasures! The jewelry box looks like it is in mint condition! How did you manage to acquire so many loose pearls? I bet you use them on some gorgeous projects! Thanks for sharing, Nan
