(Probably Doing Dishes) #1 SON YOU ALWAYS END UP BEING the CLEAN UP CREW, BLESS YOU and THANK YOU for A WONDERFUL DINNER and RELAXING TIME!   I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and I'm winding down with a few family photos! The holidays are over, the tree packed up and the house well...almost cleaned up. It will be by tomorrow days end. Christmas eve was spent with my daughter, son-in-law and their family and Christmas day was spent with my eldest son, daughter-in-law and their girls. Grandma is now one very tired lady! Here is a re-cap as I never got around to sharing the holiday decorations other than one of the Nativity's before, sometimes I just get sidetracked!

"JESUS" is THE REASON For The SEASON 

 Blessings and Happy Pink Saturday to all of you! As we share in posting our favorite movie I would say the one that comes to my mind is "It's A Wonderful Life" a very old movie classic. It may not be my Very favorite but it reminds me of the reason for the Season and it is a wonderful life and all need to do is slow down and take time for the people that we love including our families. I'm reminded once again how fragile life is and how important each and everyone of you are even if just in blogland. Life might not be exactly how we would like it to be but we are all connected. Thank you all for helping me reach 100 followers and just following me in general as you are special to me. The Pink Angel that hangs on my tree was made for me by my best friend many years ago when we were "oh so young". The Nativity that I purchased when I was with my Mom (Mom bought one too) when I was barely 20 years old. I have now been putting up the same Nativity for 48 years. Christmas comes and goes but the Reason for the Season remains the same. Today I'm linking up with Beverly from How Sweet The Sound so you can visit all the Pinkies for Pink Saturday. HAPPY PINK SATURDAY

Happy Pink Saturday everybody! I hope you had a fun filled week full of holiday preparation, last minute creating, fun filled decorating, shopping and making your to do list! No cookie recipe from me this week as I had this sweet little project to finish. The three Charlotte fairies were getting restless to be nestled in this filigree goose egg of floral and snow glittered goodness, those fairies just love lots of sparkle! So here we are getting ready to post on Etsy and I thought you all might like to have an advance peep! VICTORIAN/ VINTAGE HOLIDAY ORNAMENT OOAK

Today I listed my latest creation just posted  on ebay, the largest and most intricate piece I have created. This is an Emu Egg with a Victorian design of paper filigree and Vintage jewelry. Each piece of paper is hand cut and twisted and shaped one at a time, then placed on individually by special tweezers after being dipped in a matte art glue, upon drying the the back round is created and then vintage leaves are hand cut from larger leaves, edged in german glass glitter. Upon drying the poinsettias are brushed with glue and hand glittered. Then after drying the back round is brushed with matte glue and more german glass glitter is applied. A piece of vintage tinsel is added to the top and inserted in a hole and glued in place. The bottom has a vintage teardrop pearl added and the poinsettias have clustered centers of tiny vintage pearls. Each one of my ornaments have a vintage/victorian flare with vintage jewelry added. They are OOAK and come hand signed in its own gift box. It requires approximately a week to finish each ornament. This art is generally called quilling which is the Art of paper filigree, to me this is quilling at its Best! Only one of these Emu Eggs Victorian style will be created this year.
