Another Year and Grateful to be Here

Whats going on in your neck of the woods??? I have been doing some mixed media and having some Journal fun!! Now this little gal needs some ears and some earrings  or more hat/hair as she has a case of "fat cheeks"  shhh... we don't want to hurt her feelings...  meanwhile here I am....always meaning to blog but since there is so little interest in blogs these days here are my thoughts...........
As an absentee Blogger, however I have been thinking about closing down my blog as I really don't think many blog anymore which is too bad as I liked blogging much better than Facebook that controls what everyone sees and is full of so much negativity............
What are your thoughts on the subject???  Meanwhile I thought I would share a little Art with you from a Facebook Group called #Mix It Up Monthly a great Art Journal Group with fun prompts.  I haven't found any interesting Art Groups on Blogger ( I think they went to FB), if you see any I might like let me know please:)

Summer Fun

It's been awhile, in fact quite awhile since I have done a blog post but it seems nowadays not many blog anymore so just for fun I thought I would give it a go and see if any of my peepers are still around. Anyhoo I have been having a grand time painting, and playing with my mixed media passion and Art Doll creating. This sweet Diva is from a class I have enjoyed over at Artful Gathering this summer and I created a doll of her also, (will share in a future post).  The class is "Stuff of Dreams" with the amazing Artist "Karen O'Brien". If you ever have a chance to take one of her classes you will just love it, so many techniques and sooo...much fun!

1 Year of Stitches 2017

This year I joined the FB challenge group 1 Year of Stitches 2017 for some fun and relaxation.This is from my first Week. I hope to fill it up with colorful embroidery and turn it into a pillow:)
 I plan to also finish up some CQ squares from previous years and put them into pretty fabric albums all handmade and work again in my mixed media albums. I have a couple of those ongoing and hope to make more progress:)
  Stay tuned......I'm not sure what else I'll pull out of the Ole Rabbits Hat here:)

Hooked On Pincushions

Finally getting a post up, seems these days all I want to do is stitch a little in between having to do all the other life stuff.....I have been hooked on pincushions after making the purple/lavender/teal one for my Granddaughter, here are 2 more that I enjoyed creating and now I have a plan to make a few for gifts, a few for church to raise money for their quilting group in the fall and perhaps a few to place in my empty etsy shop, so many combinations you can create which leaves so many possibilities. now I will say I must take a break to study for my written part of my drivers license, argh......I guess they want an eye check too but since I have new glasses and good eyes that won't be a problem so lets see if the ole brain here works.....see ya in a few weeks.
